EMP incorporates an action plan on some of the vital areas which have bearing on the environment quality in and around the plant. The following steps will be taken as part of environment management in order to mitigate environment impacts.
Entire plant activity will be confined to Santpuria Alloys Private Limited property limits to keep the surrounding areas in undisturbed state.
In a running plant the dust generating activities will take place and depending upon the requirement dust suppression measures will be adopted to maintain proper air quality inside the campus, which includes water sprinklers at major aras and hand spraying at some areas. Present arrangement for sprinklers and spraying of water would continue for control of dust nuisance created by running plant and transportation activities.
Present water availability will meet all the water requirements including drinking water , sanitation etc. Existing toilets and disposal facilities of waste water will take care of the sanitary requirements of plant staff. The waste shall be discharged in Septic Tank followed by sock pit.
All existing infrastructura l services such as water supply, sewage, drainage facilities and electrification would be available inside the campus. Existing toilets should be maintained to ensure minimum environmental impact.
In order to ensure safety to the worker, helmets. safety shoes, safety belts and dust mask wherever necessary will be provided.
The vehicle maintenance area as existing would be maintained.The spillage of oil from the vehicle during the maintenance would be avoided.
All combustible waste such as waste cloth, cleaning cotton waste , waste papers, waste packing materials etc. shall be brunt in controller manner.
Extensive landscaping programme including trees and flowering plants in & around the plant and renewal and vegetation cover. Wherever feasible will be carried out. The development of green belt shall control the fugitive dust and would reduce the noise level in addition to improving the area.
